Grimaldi & Yeung LLP is proud to announce that our partner, Pauline Yeung-Ha, board member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) of New York was part of a monumental planning project to create a nationwide comprehensive chart of Medicaid planning data for each state. This chart was created with input from NAELA members throughout the country on Medicaid eligibility, allowances and best planning tools in every state, and will serve as a valuable reference tool for attorneys to use in cross-border Medicaid planning for their clients with interests in multiple states.
This project was spearheaded by Fern J. Finkel, Esq. (current New York NAELA vice president), with committee members Tammy R. Lawlor, Esq. (current New York NAELA president-elect), Pauline Yeung-Ha, Esq., partner of Grimaldi & Yeung LLP and Scott Silverberg, Esq.
The committee has worked diligently over the last two years to create and compile the information for this groundbreaking project. NAELA members in each state were contacted and asked to respond to 26 main questions (many with sub questions) regarding Medicaid planning, estate recovery, and tax implications in their states.
Once again, we congratulate Pauline on this monumental nationwide Medicaid project!
